TTC had 8,000 bus delays in march

The Toronto Transit Commission recorded more than 8,000 “individual delays” on its bus network in the month of March. Councillor Denzil Minnan-Wong, a former TTC commissioner, obtained the figure through a freedom of information request for details about all service disruptions across the TTC for 2010 and 2011.

“Assuming all the records exist either in hard copy or electronically, the number of delays recorded across Bus Transportation in a month is high,” a TTC employee wrote in an email to Mr. Minnan-Wong’s office. “As taken from the new database the total for March 2012 is 8,187 individual delays.”
