LOUISVILLE, Colo. (AP) — A Louisville company helping develop commercial human spaceflight is getting a $212 million grant from NASA.
The grant for Sierra Nevada Space Systems and its Dream Chaser Space System team is part of NASA’s effort to return the United States to manned space flights. The grant will make it possible for Sierra Nevada Space Systems to use its Dream Chaser Program for a manned orbital demonstration flight.
U.S. Sen. Mark Udall says the grant will help make Colorado a key player in aerospace innovation and job creation.
