GRANBURY (CBSDFW.COM) – A fake Facebook page led to the arrest of two middle school students in Hood County this week.
Investigators said the girls set up the page posing as another classmate and used it for two months to bully her and ruin her reputation among other students.
The 12-year-old victim’s parents reported the page to Sheriff investigators in June. They said their daughter was threatened at school by another student because of remarks she made on her Facebook page. She was not allowed to use the social networking site, though, and didn’t have a page.
Parents then discovered the site, headlined with a crass nickname for their daughter, alongside a picture of a child actress they said she resembles.
The site was full of postings that were made to look like they came from their daughter.
