With a new lease on his political life, a ‘humbled’ Mayor Rob Ford celebrated a legal victory that keeps him in office sounding more determined than ever to forge ahead with the smaller government agenda that swept him to power two turbulent years ago.

In the downtown office tower of his lawyer’s firm, he and his big brother Doug Ford embraced Friday morning. Before a phalanx of cameras and reporters in Toronto’s council chambers, Mr. Ford paid tribute to supporters who inspired him to fight on.

“The job is not finished yet and I plan to spend the next six years on getting the job done,” he vowed, referencing his widely known intentions to seek re-election in 2014.
