HAMILTON, Ont. — It was a frightful mystery from the start — family man Tim Bosma accompanied two men to test drive a pickup truck he was selling and then just disappeared — but on Tuesday the strange case turned far darker as police revealed his body, burned beyond recognition, had been found and his slaying was a targeted conspiracy.
The extended family of Mr. Bosma, 32, his many friends and members of his church had feverishly searched for a week for clues to what had happened, pleading for his safe return. On Tuesday, however, volunteers were asked to stay home and Hamilton’s police chief, Glenn De Caire, issued news no one wanted but increasingly seemed likely: Mr. Bosma was dead, killed shortly after he left with the men in the pickup he had advertised online.
The agony in this house is indescribable. My prayers are with this wonderful family
