SOUTHLAKE (CBSDFW.COM) – The quiet North Texas city of Southlake was rocked by a violent murder on Wednesday evening. It was the first killing there in more than a decade, and investigators do not believe that it was a random attack.
The incident happened just before 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night in the city’s popular Southlake Town Square.
According to police, a couple was sitting inside a red Range Rover when a white SUV pulled up from behind. A gunman got out and fired at least five shots, killing the 43-year-old man who was sitting in the passenger’s seat. His wife was in the driver’s seat, but was not injured. The suspect got back into the white SUV with another suspect and fled from the scene.
