CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan)YANKEE DOMINANCE: The Yankees have had the Indians number not only recently, but in the recent past in New York. The Yanks have won 4 of the 5 meetings between the Indians and Yankees this season, but the Indians are 4-13 all-time at the new Yankee Stadium.

They have lost five straight and 10 of their last 11 games at this venue. Cleveland’s last winning season against New York came in 2008 (4-3), while the Tribe has gone 10-24 since.

Overall the Tribe is 6-16 against the A.L. East this season.

AVILES TOSSED: While it may have gone unnoticed, Indians SS Mike Aviles was ‘thrown’ out of Tuesday’s loss when he went toe to toe with ump Tony Randazzo after the game on an awful call that gave Yankees closer Mariano Rivera a free strike in the 9th with two outs.
