Two Dead In Single-Vehicle Crash In Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) — Two people were killed in a single-vehicle crash along the southbound service road of I-35 near Continental Avenue in Dallas.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department confirms the accident occurred just after 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

According to investigators, a green SUV appears to have lost control after suffering a blown out tire on I-35 just before the exit ramp. The vehicle then left the road, taking out an exit sign before striking a large pole.

The SUV then continued across the three lanes of the service road before coming to a stop on a sidewalk.

Officials say that two men and a woman, all wearing seat belts, were in the vehicle at the time. The two men were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to Parkland Hospital and is expected to survive.
