Video: Mexico’s Popocatepetl volcano spews out ash

A video taken on June 17, 2013, shows Mexico’s Popocatepetl volcano erupting, spewing dark ash into the air. The ash cloud could be seen for miles.

The active volcano is located in Central Mexico, approximately 80km from Mexico City.

Popocatepetl, meaning “smoking mountain” is the second highest peak in Mexico, next to Pico de Orizaba.
